Polocrosse Arena Challenge

5 members braved the cold and rain at Dallas Burston Polo Club at the weekend for the annual Pony Club Polocrosse Arena Challenge.
Katarina Westerling was part of an Area 8 minis team, and played well, scoring some great goals.
Sammy Westerling played up in the Open Juniors also on an Area 8 team, they had some tough games against much older and more experienced players, but definitely held their own for some very competitive matches. Sammy did particularly well considering a last minute horse change, big thank you to the Rowbotham family for lending him Penny. We also had a branch open junior team consisting of Olivia Kirkham, Ollie Rowbotham and Taryn Tinker. They were feeling the extra pressure of being the favorites to win, but they didn’t disappoint. Strong performances from all 3 to take the title. Olivia also picked up Best Player award, and Taryn collected the Best Combination with her horse, Ziva. A great weekend despite a very soggy start on Sunday. The impromptu ‘water complex’ in the warm up created much amusement!
