Winter Triathlon Series Round up and Tet News

The ever busy tetrathletes have had a busy winter of Triathlons.  Each Area runs a Qualfier for the Winter Tri Champs and we have had a number of members earning a place at the National Finals.

Tallulah, Sonny, Harmony and Annie enjoyed a lengthy trip to Area 13 South Berkshire meeting some competitive Juniors, Minis and Tadpoles.  This was Tallulahs first mixed Tadpole class, shooting for the first time.  Tallualah 15th, Sonny (competing in higher class) 4th, Harmony 12th and Annie 11th.

Emilia, Tatiana and Grace took a trip south to the Area 11 Kent competition.  Tatiana won (and qualified) the Minimus class with a Best Swim and Best Run, Grace won (and qualified) the Junior Girls with a Best Run and Emilia came 6th.

Annie moved north to Area 6 and came 3rd earning herself a qualification place at Champs.

Area 8 qualifier was well supported by E&S members.  Tallulah (Tadpole Girls) came 3rd,  Charlie (Tadpole Boys) came 10th, Sonny stormed the Minimus Boys with a Best Swim to take 2nd (and qualified), Harmony came 7th in the Minimus Girls with Tatiana winning Best Shoot and placed 2nd.  The Mini Team came 2nd overall.  Junior Girls Team were beaten by the Junior Boys team into 3rd place, made up with Grace 3rd, Emilia 9th, Annie 10th and Georgina 17th Best Shoot.  Junior Boys Team placed 3rd with Matthew 6th, Harry 5th (and qualified) and Alfie won with Best Swim.  Finally, the Open class.  The girls saw Tilly 7th, Issy 6th and the boys saw Oscar 4th and Fergus 3rd winning Best Shoot.  The Open Team came 2nd!

The National Finals took place at Grantham Meres Leisure Centre on Sunday 24th March.  Many of the E&S members were selected for Area 8 Teams, competing against Areas from all over the UK.  Open Boys – Fergus 18th; Junior Boys – Alfie 11th, Harry 36th; Junior Girls – Grace 27th, Annie 43rd; Mini Boys – Sonny 18th, Mini Girls – Tatiana 20th.  Area 8 Open Team placed 2nd, Junior (Alfie, Harry and Grace) placed 12th and the Mini Teams placed 20th (Tati) and 21st (Sonny).  Well done to all the members who have worked so hard over the winter, culminating in these excellent results at the National Finals,

Through the Easter holidays, there are some competitions for all members if you would like to get involved. Newmarket and Thurlow host their Tri phases on Saturday 6th April and the Ride phase (along with their Hunter Trial) at Horseheath on Sunday 7th April.  Entries close on 25/3/24.  For the younger members, the Ride (45cm or 60cm) is over rustic fences in a roped arena.  Please see for the schedule.

Easton Harriers host their Tri phases at Framlingham College on Thursday 11th April, with their Ride phase incorporated with their Hunter Trial on Sunday 14th April. Entries close 6/4/24.  The Beanies and Tadpole Classes ride will be in the all weather arena – there will be a clear round at both heights (excluding the slip rail) before the Ride classes so the children can become accustomed to the courses.  Schedule can be found at
