E&S Team<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

The ever busy tetrathletes have had a busy winter of Triathlons.\u00a0 Each Area runs a Qualfier for the Winter Tri Champs and we have had a number of members earning a place at the National Finals.<\/p>\n

Tallulah, Sonny, Harmony and Annie enjoyed a lengthy trip to Area 13 South Berkshire meeting some competitive Juniors, Minis and Tadpoles.\u00a0 This was Tallulahs first mixed Tadpole class, shooting for the first time.\u00a0 Tallualah 15th<\/sup>, Sonny (competing in higher class) 4th<\/sup>, Harmony 12th<\/sup> and Annie 11th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n

Emilia, Tatiana and Grace took a trip south to the Area 11 Kent competition.\u00a0 Tatiana won (and qualified) the Minimus class with a Best Swim and Best Run, Grace won (and qualified) the Junior Girls with a Best Run and Emilia came 6th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n

Annie moved north to Area 6 and came 3rd<\/sup> earning herself a qualification place at Champs.<\/p>\n

Area 8 qualifier was well supported by E&S members.\u00a0 Tallulah (Tadpole Girls) came 3rd<\/sup>,\u00a0 Charlie (Tadpole Boys) came 10th<\/sup>, Sonny stormed the Minimus Boys with a Best Swim to take 2nd<\/sup> (and qualified), Harmony came 7th<\/sup> in the Minimus Girls with Tatiana winning Best Shoot and placed 2nd<\/sup>.\u00a0 The Mini Team came 2nd<\/sup> overall.\u00a0 Junior Girls Team were beaten by the Junior Boys team into 3rd<\/sup> place, made up with Grace 3rd<\/sup>, Emilia 9th<\/sup>, Annie 10th<\/sup> and Georgina 17th<\/sup> Best Shoot.\u00a0 Junior Boys Team placed 3rd<\/sup> with Matthew 6th<\/sup>, Harry 5th<\/sup> (and qualified) and Alfie won with Best Swim.\u00a0 Finally, the Open class.\u00a0 The girls saw Tilly 7th<\/sup>, Issy 6th<\/sup> and the boys saw Oscar 4th<\/sup> and Fergus 3rd<\/sup> winning Best Shoot.\u00a0 The Open Team came 2nd<\/sup>!<\/p>\n

The National Finals took place at Grantham Meres Leisure Centre on Sunday 24th<\/sup> March.\u00a0 Many of the E&S members were selected for Area 8 Teams, competing against Areas from all over the UK.\u00a0 Open Boys \u2013 Fergus 18th<\/sup>; Junior Boys \u2013 Alfie 11th<\/sup>, Harry 36th<\/sup>; Junior Girls \u2013 Grace 27th<\/sup>, Annie 43rd<\/sup>; Mini Boys \u2013 Sonny 18th<\/sup>, Mini Girls \u2013 Tatiana 20th<\/sup>.\u00a0 Area 8 Open Team placed 2nd<\/sup>, Junior (Alfie, Harry and Grace) placed 12th<\/sup> and the Mini Teams placed 20th<\/sup> (Tati) and 21st<\/sup> (Sonny).\u00a0 Well done to all the members who have worked so hard over the winter, culminating in these excellent results at the National Finals,<\/p>\n

Through the Easter holidays, there are some competitions for all members if you would like to get involved.\u00a0Newmarket and Thurlow host their Tri phases on Saturday 6th<\/sup> April and the Ride phase (along with their Hunter Trial) at Horseheath on Sunday 7th<\/sup> April.\u00a0 Entries close on 25\/3\/24.\u00a0 For the younger members, the Ride (45cm or 60cm) is over rustic fences in a roped arena.\u00a0 Please see www.horse-events.co.uk<\/a> for the schedule.<\/p>\n

Easton Harriers host their Tri phases at Framlingham College on Thursday 11th<\/sup> April, with their Ride phase incorporated with their Hunter Trial on Sunday 14th<\/sup> April. Entries close 6\/4\/24.\u00a0 The Beanies and Tadpole Classes ride will be in the all weather arena \u2013 there will be a clear round at both heights (excluding the slip rail) before the Ride classes so the children can become accustomed to the courses.\u00a0 Schedule can be found at www.horse-events.co.uk<\/a><\/p>\n
