INTERBRANCH TEAM FRIENDLY SHOWJUMPING @ ISLEHAM SUNDAY 9th JUNE 2024

EUHPC was tremendously well represented once again this year with both teams and individuals contesting almost every class at Isleham on Sunday from 50cms to 110cms.  We were delighted to welcome members from a wide range of both age and experience – whether competing for the Branch for the very first time, right the way through to some seasoned campaigners whose support for their less experienced team members on the day was invaluable, and lovely to see.

It was a pleasure to have to squeeze in a number of prize givings to an already packed schedule, recognising some super team and individual placings throughout the day, including:

Team 5th (Jess, Lexie and Abi) and an individual 3rd for Jess in the 50cms;

Team 1st (Jess, Lexie, Posie & Abi) and an individual 1st for Jess, 5th for Posie in the 60cms

Team 4th (Sienna, Posie, Harry, Penny) in the 70cms;

Team 2nd (Amy, Esme, Penny, Sienna) in the 80cms;

Team 2nd (Oliver, Amy, Kiera, Robyn) in the 90cms;

Team 3rd (Grace, Daisy, Oliver, Sammy) in the 100cms;

Grace 4th individual in the 110cms;

Double clears were awarded to Jess and Harry  in both their classes, to Robyn on both horses  and to Sienna, Kiera, Amy, Penny and Posie.

Those are of course tremendous achievements, but equally impressive was the support shown amongst everybody if things perhaps didn’t quite go to plan – as is so often the case with horses! Lots and lots of lessons learnt in a supportive, friendly and encouraging environment. You were all beautifully turned out and the ring stewards were all very grateful for the words of thanks they received from our members.
