We are running a new Winter Dressage League throughout the winter to help improve test riding, and points will be awarded for placings and taking part. The league will also include a qualifier for the Dengie final. Dates and schedules are on the Dressage page.  For all queries re Dengie dressage and SJ (which are incorporated into our Fife League and team jumping and Sprot competitions), please contact Sue Cheape.
We are also holding David Harland SJ lessons – please see Showjumping page for details. Dates are below. We encourage anyone wishing to take part in Pony Club Areas next year to attend the dressage leagues, lessons and the David Harland jumping lessons throughout the winter.

Efficiency tests. We are currently scheduling dates for 2018 for Pony Club Efficiency Tests and Ride and Road Safety for all members.   Dates have been organised for B+ training.  This is open to all members over sixteen years of age and who have sat B test. B+ Test is a non-compulsory test but is an excellent “stepping stone” halfway between B and A Test.  This is a one part, ridden only, test with no stable management. Please see ‘news’ page for details. B and B+ test and training dates have been issued by Fiona Morrison.

We are arranging C Test and C+ training and exams. More information regarding both tests can be found on the Pony Club website http://www.pcuk.org  under training and tests. C test is open to all members but the the recommended minimum age is 11. The Pony Club Training structure encourages Members to take tests which enables them to learn progressively about horse and pony care and riding. The tests are designed with certain objectives in mind, to help Members become practical and knowledgeable riders, proficient in caring for horses and ponies.  If members are interested in sitting either Test please email Fiona.

We have started our unmounted, indoor stable management/quiz training/badges/horse and pony care training fun club nights next week. All members are encouraged to come to these sessions to further their knowledge on all things horsey, which will not only assist them in future Tests, but is a great way to socialise and have fun with friends.
This year we are running two groups, which will follow the same topics each week. You can choose which group would suit you best or can go to either, depending on other commitments, everyone welcome! ALL ages encouraged to come along and each group will be split by ages. On Mondays, starting on 5th November, the training will be with Fiona and Milly Morrison, at Moraybank Gardens Road, Newburgh, Fife, KY14 6BL, from 6.30 to 8pm. 07789847553. On Thursdays, starting on 8th November, the training will be with Elaine Forgan and Sally Brown, at Easter Grangemuir, Pittenweem, Fife, KY10 2RB, from 7pm. (E)07709619807 (S)07974383991. We will get a few sessions before Christmas and then reconvene in the New Year. The Quiz competition is on Sunday 24th February and the final on Saturday 9th March.

Looking forward to seeing you at some/all of these sessions. Parents are welcome to drop and go or stay for a cuppa and chat!
