BURGHLEY SHOWJUMPING TEAM SELECTION POLICY 2022

The Burghley Horse Trials Le Mieux Pony Club Team Jumping competition is a prestigious event which our Branch is fortunate to be invited to take part in.  It takes place this year on Thursday 1 September.    Each Branch invited to attend can only send one team of four riders.

Applications for team selection are invited to those members aged under 18 on 30th August 2022, who have a proven track record show jumping on grass at 1 metre plus

We will be holding two or three training/trials sessions, for those interested in representing our Branch at this competition and the performance at these will be taken into consideration. 

Applicants are also invited to forward details of their competition record to Philippa (fitzwilliampcdc@gmail.com), which will be taken into consideration, along with their Fitzwilliam Pony Club record of attendance and outcome of the training/trials, if available to attend.

It is expected by the Organisers of the event at Burghley, that any members of a team will be regular members of the Branch they are representing and with this in mind preference will be given to those who have attended rallies or training, and competed at the Area 6 Show Jumping Competition on Sun 10th July organised by  Woodland Pytchley at – The Elms, Isham Road, Pytchley, Kettering, NN14 1EW
