Report for Meeting 14\/01\/25<\/strong><\/p>\n

Our rally and training programme continues apace. Pip King is doing a brilliant job as Chief Coach and has taken over the dressage training until Kirsty Moat is back on her feet. The weather hasn\u2019t always played ball and some have been poorly attended but on the whole it\u2019s working well. A huge thank you to Pip for all she does for our show jumpers as well as dressage and to Tricia Price, eventing, LizzieRobinson, Anna Koch and Karen Gow, minis.<\/p>\n

Competitions<\/strong><\/p>\n

Our only competition in the last quarter was the Team Show Jumping on 6th<\/sup> October held at Milton Park courtesy of Sir Philip and Lady Isabella Naylor-Leyland. It is such a wonderful venue for an event and the ground was incredible! Elsewhere everything was being cancelled left, right and centre due to waterlogged ground, whereas at Milton you would hardly know we\u2019d been there. I am so grateful to the Naylor-Leylands for having us there and for their continued support. The event was organised for the second time by Natasha Fierro and once again she did a fantastic job so that the day ran very smoothly and successfully. Entries in the smaller ring were good but we were down in the big ring. There was an obvious reason for this in that we clashed with Osberton HT who were running a PC Team SJ with classes at all the same heights as us. PC members do love to go to big BE events which run PC classes! A massive thank you to Natasha and her team of helpers who all worked so hard to ensure the days success.<\/p>\n

Hunting<\/strong><\/p>\n

An autumn hunting PC Meet was held on 26th<\/sup> October at Barnwell Wold. Attendance was good and all had an enjoyable morning. Many thanks to the Wagstaffes for hosting and to the Masters for putting on these Meets which our members so enjoy and which, for some, are their first introduction to a lifelong love of hunting. Sadly The New Year Meet had to be cancelled due to the frost.<\/p>\n

Tests<\/strong><\/p>\n

Huge congratulations to Charlotte Gee and Milly Smith on passing both modules of the B test. It involves a great deal of hard work and effort to pass this test as the standard is very high, a real achievement for them both.<\/p>\n

As everyone will now be aware the PC now require members to take a test before being allowed to wear spurs, unless they have passed their C+ test or above. The introduction of this test has not been straightforward and there has been much confusion surrounding it. Anna Koch attended an Assessors course so that she can now train our members but she cannot examine them. Our first training sessions and test have now taken place the latter with an external assessor examining them.
