Triathlon Report Packwood Haugh Sunday May 26th<\/h4>\n

Six young Flint and Denbigh Members travelled down to Packwood Haugh School Triathlon near Shrewsbury which was aimed at younger members.<\/p>\n

Although it was a wet start, it finished with the run in lovely sunshine.\u00a0 It was a very welcoming event with everyone involved more than happy to help.\u00a0 Elin WON the Mini class, with the best shoot.\u00a0 Little Gweni finished 2nd<\/sup>\u00a0in her class with 2nd<\/sup> best shoot and an improved run time.\u00a0 Magi missed out on a rosette but did a great run.\u00a0 Finlay WON the Tiddlers class with the fastest run, joint best bean bag and 2nd<\/sup> in the swim. Esmay\u00a0 was thrilled with her rosette and was amazing in the swim for her size and age.\u00a0 Many little ones were having melt downs but Esme was a trooper.<\/p>\n

The venue was excellent and each competitor left with sweets and a cap so all were happy !<\/p>\n

Junior International Tetrathlon Championships<\/h4>\n

Fresh from her outstanding achievement at the Ledbury Tetrathlon, Orla Kissane (Flint & Denbigh) will be setting off to compete at the Junior International Tetrathlon Championships<\/strong> in Moreton Morrell, Warwickshire at the week end June 1\/2nd.<\/p>\n

At the Ledbury Tetrathlon in Hereford a fortnight ago, Orla won the strong Junior class by over 60 points; she had the joint best shoot of 960 and best run by 18 seconds. She is now the strongest Junior in Wales and Borders(Cheshire) and must be congratulated on her success.<\/p>\n

The competition in Moreton Morrell is an International one i.e. Junior teams from England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland will be there.\u00a0 Teams of 5 are selected based on their recent scores.\u00a0 Wales have two teams forward and ORLA KISSANE is Captain and well deserves that honour. Lleucu Newton has also been selected to compete.<\/p>\n
