Today, February 1st<\/sup>, nineteen Flint and Denbigh members (mostly little and one big) supported the Cheshire Hunt South Dry Triathlon at Kelsall hill Equestrian Centre and they had a brilliant time. It was a well run competition at a superb venue. I arrived about 10am and it was very busy \u2013 so busy that I couldn\u2019t manage to see them all doing their stuff. There were so many tiny people in tiny jods and tiny hats and parents doing the leading. As you can imagine there were some \u2018unplanned dismounts\u2019 but each child was checked for damage by the appointed First Aiders, before being allowed to continue.\u00a0 This is unique to Tetrathlon.\u00a0 The riding was actually impressive for such little people and the Open course was demanding.<\/p>\n

FnD had 5 teams forward and one team \u2013 FnD Lions came 2nd<\/sup> out of 18 teams.\u00a0 This team was – Halle Rosser, Anni Edwards, Nansi Evans and Arabella Thomas.\u00a0 They all looked so tiny on the rostrum.\u00a0 Big smiles all round. Our other teams came 4th<\/sup> (Ninjas), 5th<\/sup> (Tigers), 12th<\/sup> Zebras.<\/p>\n

I can\u2019t name everyone but notable achievements were:-<\/p>\n

Orla Kissane \u2013\u00a0our only Senior – came 2nd<\/sup> in a strong Girls class. Shot 860 !\u00a0 Keep it up Orla.<\/p>\n

Oliver Parkes won the Tadpole Boys\u00a0 – his first competition. Rode clear.<\/p>\n

Marcus Rosser also rode clear in that class.<\/p>\n

Halle Rosse won the Beanies. Finlay Eastwood 3rd<\/sup> and Nansi Evans 4th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n

The first three placings in the Pre Beanies went to Esmay Eastwood, Ifan Johnson and Miles Rowlands.\u00a0 This was a\u00a0 strong class.<\/p>\n

They were all brilliant and there were so many smiling faces \u2013 parents too !<\/p>\n
