Yet another great day for Flint and Denbigh at the last of the Triathlons organised by the Area 5 Tetrathlon Committee.\u00a0 Entries were high (140+) 29 of which were FnD Branch. The venue was the excellent Ellesmere Port Leisure Centre.<\/p>\n

There were 30 teams forward. A very young Flint and Denbigh Team F came a creditable 4th ( Megan and Alys Evans, Zoe James and Catrin Morgan) and Team C came 7th ( Orla and Casper Kissane, Joseff James and Finlay Eastwood).<\/p>\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n\r\n <\/div>\r\n<\/section>\r\n\n\n\r\n\n\n\r\n

This time there was a Beanie Team competition – Team A came 2nd (Ifan Johnson, Ioan James, Anni Edwards and Harri Morgan) and team B came 3rd ( Esmay Eastwood,Halle Rosser and Polly Lowe).\u00a0 There were 10 beanie Teams !<\/p>\n

There was a record entry in the Wrinklie class (14) and this was won by Gareth Lowe – an ex Tetrathlete who was a member of a FnD team of 3 boys in the early 90’s who WON the Championships, so he has not gone to seed – yet !\u00a0 Second placed (only one point in it ) Wrinklie was Phil Eastwood FnD in his first competition and after just one shooting lesson he shot 980\u00a0 !! Cool Dude.<\/p>\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n\r\n <\/div>\r\n<\/section>\r\n\n\n\r\n

Individual achievements were many\u00a0 and pretty amazing :-<\/p>\n

Orla Kissaane WON the strong Senior girls class with top swim.<\/p>\n

Megan Evans WON the 10 strong Mini Girls class with the top shoot of 940.<\/p>\n

Finlay Eastwood was 3rd in the Beanie Boys.<\/p>\n

Anni Edwards was 2nd n the Beanie girls.<\/p>\n

Hugo Mayne Won the Beanie Biathlon Boys class.<\/p>\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n\r\n <\/div>\r\n<\/section>\r\n\n\n\r\n

Flint and Denbigh members were amazing, the atmosphere was great and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves.<\/p>\n

The day ran well except for the horrendous noise during the shoot coming from football next door.\u00a0 How members concentrated I don’t know.<\/p>\n

Congratulations to the following members who have qualified for Grantham and will be in teams representing Area 5.\u00a0 They are Neisha Roberts, Orla Kissane, Casper Kissane, Megan Evans, Zoe James and Catrin Morgan.<\/p>\n
