C+ Test Success<\/h4>\n

Congratulations to our 5 members for achieving their C+ horse and pony care test: Jess, Anwen, Ffion, Sophia and Georgia. The assessors were extremely impressed with the high standard of their knowledge.<\/p>\n

Thank you to Helga for coaching them and to Aloma for organising the training and test.<\/p>\n

Pony Club\u00a0Polocrosse\u00a0Arena Challenge<\/h4>\n

Katie Davies, Isabella Stone, and Daisy Stone represented Flint & Denbigh in the Pony Club Polocrosse Arena Challenge at Dallas Burston over the weekend (18th\/19th April) and won the Open Seniors category!<\/p>\n

They were one of the only full branch teams, with most being Area or mixed teams.<\/p>\n

The girls were successful in winning all their matches, and Katie Davies received the award for most improved senior, and Daisy Stone received the award for best senior player.<\/p>\n

The girls will now focus on the Championships which is the next time they will play together as a team.<\/p>\n

Over the coming months there are several trainings and tournaments which count as qualifiers for the Championships so if anyone would like to come and give polocrosse a try, please contact Rachel Davies on WhatsApp (07792 728749).\u00a0We would love to see a mini Flint & Denbigh team compete (under 12).<\/p>\n

Quiz Team Success at the National Final<\/h4>\n

Flint & Denbigh had a fantastic day at The Pony Club National Quiz Final on Sunday representing Area 5 of The Pony Club. Our mini team of Elis, Gweni, Sybil and Lyla worked so well together. They had worked so hard at practises and were able to put it all together gaining full marks on some rounds and doing very well overall to come 10th – an amazing achievement at the final where competition is fierce!<\/p>\n

Our very young junior team of Anwen, Ffion, Jess and Seren made us very proud. The team is aged only 11-14 years old but held their own getting full marks on several rounds. Unfortunately the brutal tarsia round proved their nemesis and they ran out of time to complete this, dropping them down to 16th place. This was a fabulous achievement and we hope they can come back even stronger next year!<\/p>\n

Huge thanks to the organisers of the quiz which was so well run, and the parents of these members who have been bringing them to practises and driving them all the way to Loughborough for the final. Biggest thank you goes to the members for their efforts: they really did go above and beyond organising their own practises and making a million kahoots to test each other.<\/p>\n
