Spring Festival Qualifiers for dressage and showjumping- Area 16- 1st February 2025

On Saturday lots of our members headed to the qualifiers held at The Grange, Okehampton. We were fabulously represented yet again and achieved some pretty awesome results!

Showjumping

Tilda started us off with a great DC in the 70cm with some fantastic turns for 8th place in a very fast class.

We then had six members (Emily, Edward, Arabella, Tegenn, Tilda & Klara) competing in the 80cm and got five clear rounds!

Lots of them were new to this level or the format of jumping A7 so it was fantastic experience for them. Arabella was reunited with her fantastic pony Dottie just last week and jumped DC to finish 4th out of a large number of people who made it through to the jump-off securing her ticket to the spring championship.

The 90 had less clear rounds over a tricky track! Martha jumped clear and finished 3rd out of area 16 qualifying her for the final. Eliza and Klara both had an unlucky pole and Milly and Rosie both jumped great rounds but just a little unlucky.

The 100 proved trickier again but Milly finished 2nd with an unlucky pole so secured a ticket to the championship. As the only 100 team from area 16 another ticket was secured!

It was great to have multiple members representing us in the 1.10m! Milly jumped great round her first time at this level and Tommy also jumped a good round getting another ticket for FB!

Dressage

The PC80 team of Tilda, Charlotte & Lilac started our dressage campaign with a team win in Area 16 and another set of tickets! In the individuals Bella S finished 3rd, Lilac 4th, Tilda 6th and Charlotte 8th!

Then it was the Novice teams turn where we secured another team win! This time from Tegenn, Eliza & Milly. Eliza finished 2nd individually, Milly 3rd, Bella 4th, Martha 6th and Tegenn 8th. The winning team also qualify for the championship!

In the Intermediate Tommy had a win and Arabella 3rd = more tickets!!

And of course an extra special mention to Bella & Emily who won the best looking FB edible prizes

A fabulous day to be a Fourburrow member yet again! And a massive thankyou to the parents who drove everybody all the way to these qualifiers!
