National Pony Club Tetrathlon Championships- 10th August 2025
An update after the first part of the pony club National Championships.
Week 1 of Pony Club Championships update!
Rosie and I arrived in Warwickshire on Thursday with our support teams to settle in ready for the National Tetrathlon championships. That evening there was a practice shoot in the marquee ready for shooting to start at 8am Friday morning! We both shot 760 which was an okay-ish score!
The swim was a couple of miles away so we cycled over and both swam PB’s, Rosie’s best by over 10metres!
Saturday was XC day and party night! I was lucky enough to go out early and beat the heat. It was a tough track and I wasn’t disappointed to come back with just a couple of mistakes at B elements around a strong open 105/110 track.
Rosie jumped around the Junior 90 in the afternoon after a long wait from lots of delays around the course! She jumped an incredible 1400 (clear) ride around another testing championship track.
That evening was the famous tet party where we dressed up as things beginning with P or C, we’ll let you decide by the photos if you can tell what we were!
Finally, the competition was concluded today with the run phase. This was held around the XC track in some very tricky terrain, some very steep inclines, and some seriously hot temperatures! Fortunately we got to run through the water jump on the route around which helped cool off. We both put in strong performances in this phase and although there were no top placings, it was an awesome experience to do and the camaraderie from all competitors and our South West team mates was incredible.
We are now in a very empty lorry park that was packed this morning as tomorrow is an official champs day off and we eagerly await the rest of the FB crew to join us!
