Pony Club National Championships- Dressage and Showjumping- 18th August 2026
Today was the start of the dressage and showjumping campaign for some of our riders.
Milly started the day with a couple of uncharacteristic poles in the 100 individual before deciding to save Romeo for another day in round 2.
The Novice team of Summer, Natalie and Catherine all debuting at champs had good first rounds with Summer & Catherine both just rolling a pole. The second round was a lot more technical and caused its fair share of issues throughout the day, and Summer jumped a fab round up until the penultimate double just rubbing both parts.
Natalie & Catherine’s horses were both caught out by a very influential fence and they opted to save them for another day.
Tomorrow Summer & Catherine will jump again as individuals.
In the dressage, Martha produced two great warm up tests to finish 3rd &4th followed by a good test in the Novice championships. Unfortunately not finishing in the prizes but still a great experience and she has the intermediate final tomorrow (Wednesday)
Eliza also made her debut at Champs with a good performance in the Novice DR championship on Bella, unfortunately out of the placings but still a huge achievement to qualify and compete.
