Equine dentistry badge and horse health/ first aid badge success- 28th October 2024

This afternoon some of our members went to the Penmellyn Equine Vets,
Vets Abby and Zoe with the help of vet nurse Billie were fantastic, and helped the children earn various badges in equine dentistry and equine health/first aid.
They had a fabulous tour of the surgery saw the xray machine looked at various pieces of equipment used when a horse is having an operation and used the weigh bridge….. all the children put together are about the equivalent weight of a 16hh horse !!!
They had a fantastic time and came away with lots of new knowledge and super goodie bags what lucky children.
We aim to hold a badge rally on every school holiday so be on the look out for the next one! All the information you gather doing these badges will help training for your tests!!
