Gold YELA achievement- 6th August 2026

The Young Equestrian Leadership Award is a volunteering scheme run by the pony club in conjunction with other British Equestrian bodies. There are three levels- Bronze, Silver and Gold.

Sophie Murrish has recently learnt from head office that her portfolio has been accepted for the awarding of her gold YELA. This requires 60 hours of volunteering across three British Equestrian member bodies, as well as taking the lead on a project. For her project Sophie organised the Area 16 spring festival qualifiers for dressage and arena cross country (twice in fact, as the weather was against us in January!).
