Peter Hoblyn/ Zena Hosking Competition and Hunter Trial organised by the Western Pony Club- Wednesday 30th August 2023

Congratulations to the Fourburrow team of Flo, Milly and Tommy who won the Peter Hoblyn competition. This consists of three phases- a tack and turnout, a dressage test and a 90cm round of cross country. Very well done to you all.

Congratulations also go to the Fourburrow team of Martha, Keira and Grace who won the Zena Hosking competition. This also consists of three phases, with a tack and turnout, a dressage test and a round of 70cm cross country.

A mixed team with Lily and Tilda from the Fourburrow, Maddie from North Cornwall, and Lowenna from the Cury came fourth in the Zena Hosking competition.

We also had Lilia, Summer and Isobel competing today. For some this was their first cross country round new ponies, so well done to them too- and hoping that you enjoyed the experience.

Western Pony Club Hunter Trial.

The Western also hosted a Hunter Trial today.

Congratulations go to-

Sophie and Rosie for coming third in the 70cm pairs- a lovely round, but maybe need to be a bit slower next time to not gain ‘quick’ time penalties.

Anna for coming third in the 70cm individual competition with a clear cross country ride and only a little quicker than the optimum time.

Klara for coming second in the 80cm competition with only of only two clear rounds. Again just slightly too quick to avoid a few time penalties.
