The working rally is where instruction is given and is open to all members of the branch. One of its main objectives is to encourage and improve the horsemanship of members. A rally may either be mounted or unmounted. An unmounted rally is usually for horse and pony care instruction. A rally per month is scheduled, extra rallies maybe organised during school holidays. Rallies and training are mainly held at Lluest Equine Centre but other venues are also used during the summer for instruction on grass and x-country.
Prospective members are welcome to have a taster session and join us at one of our rallies to meet our members and see what we do.
Plus other activities which include competitions, stable management sessions, an annual camp, beach rides and social events.
These are held regularly and members are encouraged to attend as work is completed at these sessions for Achievement Badges and Tests. The Pony Club training structure encourages members to take tests which enables them to learn progressively about horse and pony care and riding. The tests are taken at recommended ages and are designed with certain objectives in mind.
