Camp is an excellent week in the summer holidays for you and your pony to have lots of fun with other similar aged people, and learn lots of new things at the same time. We cover all the disciplines from, Dressage, xcountry ,water-schooling and Show Jumping.
We are very committed to providing training for Progressive Tests, whether you be aiming for E test or your A test, see ‘Test Training’ tab for more info of what’s involved. Our Chief Instructors will be happy to answer your questions about Progressive Tests.
We send teams to Area, which is the qualification process through to the Pony Club Championships, in all three disciplines, SJ, Eventing and Dressage, which are usually held in July and August. You have to be a member in that year before the 31st Jan to take part and you have completed 3 rallies, in order to be eligible. There are also junior competitions, which although don’t qualify to the championships, it gives a great experience and means you are ready to be competitive when you are ready to take part at a higher level. We have been very successful at Area and the Championships in previous years and we would love to keep this going.
In previous years we have sent a team for the Pony Club Showjumping at Burghley Horse Trials (1.05m and 1.10m). Watch the website for training which will be held in preparation for this. Members are selected for this prestigious event (and also for Rockingham, Chatsworth and Osberton Horse Trials).
The Spring Festival competitions are held in Showjumping, Arena Eventing and Dressage and are held in the winter months. Showjumping has Preliminary Rounds to enable qualification for Area whereas Arena Eventing and Dressage start at Area qualifiers. Qualifiers then go to compete at the Finals held at Arena UK. We have been very successful in the Dressage at the Championships, and have sent members in novice and open sections.
MAINLY HAVE FUN!!!
