What to wear

 

Competitions & PC Tests (C, C+ and above):

Riders:
Hacking Jackets/Show Jacket (black or white)
Shirt & Tie/Stock (must be pony club)
Hair net to be worn with tidy hair
Blue or Black Hat Silk, hat must be tagged with current pony club tag
Beige or White Jodhpurs
Black or Brown Riding Boots/Jodhpur Boots
Body Protector if required (must be to current standard)
XC:

Medical Armbands, body protectors, long sleeves & non fixed riding hat (skull cap & silk), are compulsory

Horses/Ponies:
Horses/Ponies are expected to be clean, plaited up where required
Clean Tack along with a well fitted white saddle cloth, preferably a Grove Hunt Pony Saddle Cloth
Hoof Oil, and a well brushed tail.

Your tack will be checked before competing (we don’t expect new tack, just tack that is clean and fits well), if in doubt speak to an instructor at your training sessions

Training/Rallies

Rider:
You must look smart & tidy, clean riding wear (jodhpurs Beige/Black/Navy), pony club jumpers or tops (No Hoodies).
Riding Boots/Jodhpur Boots-NO COUNTRY BOOTS, WELLIES, OR ANY OTHER KIND OF FOOTWEAR
Hair Nets
Body Protectors & long sleeves, and a non fixed peak hat for XC

Horses/Ponies:
Horses/Ponies must be clean, tails brushed, hoof oil, along with clean boots and saddle cloths

Please be proud of your pony club and be proud of your ponies.

2018: We will be introducing a rally score sheet for the instructors to complete at each training session for tack and turn out, and prizes will be awarded at the Presentation evening for the highest points achieved.

This is for the members to achieve and not the parents (particularly for members age 11+), I understand the younger members may need help.
