Looking to join the Pony Club?

We are a friendly, busy club which aims to cater for a wide range of young people from our wonderful mini gang of lead rein beginners right though to the experienced competitive riders competing at Pony Club National Competitions.

We regularly meet throughout the year for training rallies in dressage, showjumping and stable management. These are fun and informative with opportunities to meet new friends and for those that are interested, to work towards Pony Club achievement badges and efficiency tests.

If you would like to know more about what we do, please get in touch with Pam or Deborah (see contacts page) and they will be happy to answer any questions you may have and we can arrange for you to come to a ‘taster session’ to meet us.

We try to include  information which we think will be of interest to our members and their parents but we need your feedback to let us know if there is anything which you would like us to include or change.  Your input could help to improve the website for the benefit of everyone.  If you have any suggestions, or photographs that you would like to share, please email

We are entirely dependent on volunteers. There are no paid member of staff  at all except the instructors and our size generates more than the average workload. The young people, who belong to our branch and their families are expected to take a pride in its organisation, to look after its resources and to help with the activities that are run for their benefit.  Please make yourself known to Pam or other committee members if you feel you can help. Below is a request form for positions we require help with

The Volunteer Badge  is supported by International event rider and former Pony Club Member Zara Phillips MBE.

The Pony Club relies on the support of its fantastic network of volunteers – without them, it would not be possible to run all of the rallies, camps and events that are offered to Members.

ALL of our volunteers are valued and so we have launched the new Volunteer Badge as something our volunteers can wear and be proud of!

Volunteers are the backbone of The Pony Club.
The Pony Club could not provide young riders with all the fantastic opportunities it does, without the dedication and time given by the huge body of volunteers it has. THANK YOU!”
Zara Phillips MBE, International event rider, former Pony Club Member and supporter of the Volunteer Badge.
