We are pleased and excited to open the registration for Camp 2026!<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Please see attached the form that you are required to complete and return to me via email, along with a \u00a325 deposit via the My Riding Life payment link below in order to secure your child\u2019s place at camp.<\/p>\n

As a committee we endeavour to keep camp fresh and provide a fun and safe environment for everyone who attends, with our child members at the core of this. With that said there will be a little \u2018shake up\u2019 of camp this year! however in order to plan how that will work we are taking registrations only at this time with a\u00a0refundable \u00a325 deposit<\/b>\u00a0should your child no longer wish to attend once all camp information is finalised and released.<\/span><\/p>\n

VACCINATIONS \u2013 VERY IMPORTANT!\u00a0<\/u><\/b><\/h2>\n

All horse and ponies that attend camp MUST BE VACCINATED as per the rules set out below. Please provide me with a picture of your passport as soon as your horse\/pony is vaccinated to cover this year to ensure that it complies and we don\u2019t have any mishaps nearer to camp! If you have any questions, please don\u2019t hesitate to contact myself, or Lindsay Hotchkiss who will be more than happy to advise.<\/p>\n

\nThe Pony Club Equine Influenza VACCINATION RULE
\n(No changes for 2026)
\nTo protect the health of all horses and ponies and the biosecurity of the
\nvenue, the following rules will apply to all Pony Club activities. Members
\ncompeting with other organisations , such as FEI , BHA and HPA , or at
\ncertain venues, for example racecourses, will need to comply with their
\nvaccination requirements.
\n1. Passports
\nA valid passport (registered on the Central Equine Database) and
\nvaccination record:
\n\u2022 must accompany the horse \/ pony to all activities
\n\u2022 must be available for inspection by the event officials
\n\u2022 must be produced on request at any other time during the activity
\n2. Equine Influenza Vaccination Schedule :
\nNo horse \/ pony may attend an activity, compete or be present as a
\ncompanion unless it has a Record of Vaccination against equine influenza
\ncompleted by the veterinary surgeon who gave the vaccination, signed
\nand stamped line by line, which complies with t he Minimum Vaccination
\nRequirements set out in the Equine Influenza Vaccination Schedule below .
\nAll horses and ponies receiving a new primary course of vaccinations must
\nbe vaccinated according to th is schedule :
\n\u2022 initial primary course of two vaccinations (V1 and V2) must be given: the
\nsecond vaccination (V2) must be administered within 21-60 days of the
\nfirst initial vaccination (V1)
\n\u2022 Horses may attend activities 7 full days after receiving the second
\nvaccination of the primary course (V2).
\n\u2022 A first booster vaccination (V3) must be administered within 120 \u2013 180
\ndays of the administration of the second vaccination of the primary
\ncourse.

\n\u2022 Thereafter booster vaccinations must be administered at a maximum
\nof 12 months intervals.
\nHorses and ponies must not attend activities within 7 days of receiving any
\nvaccination. For clarity: no horse or pony may compete on the same day as
\na relevant injection is given or on any of the 6 days following such an
\ninjection.
\nNB: This is the minimally appropriate booster schedule; it is highly
\nrecommended that horses and ponies competing regularly and travelling
\naround the UK and abroad follow an optimal schedule and receive a
\nbooster within 6 months +21 days prior to arrival at the event or activity , in
\nline with the FEI protocol.
\nRestart
\nAny horse which is found to have breached the requirements above in
\nrelation to V1 (initial vaccination); V2 (second vaccination) and V3 (first
\nbooster), or exceeded 12 months between subsequent boosters, must
\nrestart and receive a minimum of V1 & V2 and h ad a 7 day post -vaccine
\nstand -down before being allowed entry to a n y Pony Club activity.
\nHistoric Vaccinations
\no Horses that received the primary course prior to 1 January 2024 are
\npermitted to have an interval of up to 92 days between the first (V1)
\nand second (V2) vaccination of the primary course and for the first
\nbooster (V3) an interval of up to 7 months following the date of the
\nadministration of vaccination V2.
\no For the period 1st October 2022 to 31st December 2022, lower risk
\nequines may have, with veterinary advice and approval, extended
\nthe annual booster period to 15 months if there was a genuine
\nveterinary shortage of vaccine. The subsequent booster should
\nha ve been made within 9 months, resulting in 2 booster
\nvaccinations in 2 years and making the 2023 vaccine booster date
\nno more than 24 months from the 2021 due date. Vaccination
\nrecords which have this extension clearly approved and annotated
\nby the vet wil l be accepted at Pony Club and BHS Riding Club
\nevents, but other venues and competitive bodies may insist on a
\n12month interval and hence if a booster is missed a restart may be
