Once it has been checked by a<br \/>\nBranch official it will be marked with a current tag. Members should wear The Pony Club or Branch branded<br \/>\nclothing, jodhpurs\/breeches \u2013 should predominately be of a solid, single colour. Dark-coloured contrast seats<br \/>\nare permitted. A Branch polo shirt or a plain coloured shirt with a tie or stock. Only standard riding or jodhpur<br \/>\nboots with a well-defined heel may be worn. Wellies, trainers or \u2018muck boots\u2019 are not acceptable. It is not<br \/>\nexpected that clothing is new, but what is worn should be clean, neat and tidy. A jacket with a plain shirt and<br \/>\nPony Club tie may be worn. Hair must be tied back securely, in a safe manner to reduce the risk of hair being<br \/>\ncaught and to prevent scalp injuries. Body Protectors if worn should comply with current safety standards, they<br \/>\nare compulsory for taking part in cross country and Pony Racing<\/p>\n<p>Tack \u2013 Must be safe and fit for purpose. The first time you attend a rally it is not essential at rally level that the<br \/>\ntack is as set out in the sport rule books, but you will be guided for the welfare of your horse or pony to make<br \/>\nany necessary adjustments for the future. Stirrups must be of the correct size to suit the rider\u2019s boots. They<br \/>\nmust have 7mm (1\/4\u2019\u2019) clearance on either side of the boot.
