Branch Quiz & Horse & Pony Care Training
Sending your child to quiz or horse and pony care training offers a host of benefits, both educational and social. Here’s why it’s a great idea:
These sessions are designed to be engaging and enjoyable, helping children learn in a relaxed, interactive environment.
The training is led by knowledgeable instructors who are skilled at sharing valuable equestrian insights in a way that’s easy for young riders to understand.
Your child will deepen their understanding of horse care, stable management, and equestrian practices, which are essential for confident and capable horsemanship.
It’s a wonderful chance for your child to reconnect with old friends and meet new ones who share their passion for horses.
Especially during the winter months when riding may be limited, these sessions offer a productive and exciting way to stay involved with the equestrian world.
As your child progresses through riding tests, knowledge of horse care and theory becomes increasingly important. These sessions lay a strong foundation for success.
By participating in these programs, your child not only builds their skills but also gains confidence, fosters friendships, and nurtures their passion for horses. It’s an investment in both their equestrian future and their personal development!
To keep everyone safe and uphold fair sportsmanship it is important to have Rules and Policies for competition and to support Official decision making. We encourage everyone to familiarise themselves with the Rules and the Pony Club Policies. Login into the Resource Hub to find out more.
Area Competitions & Selection
Members should make their own individual entries for the area competition as per the information provided by the organising branch. It is also very useful for us if you can inform the Branch Secretary which class you are entering so that we have an idea of who will be eligible for team selection before we receive the entries back from the organising branch.
The DC, in consultation with instructors will ensure that you are safe and competent to compete at your chosen level. Members are expected to attend training regularly and show commitment to the branch to be considered for teams. There may be occasions where a member is asked to compete at a higher or lower level (where eligible) to make up or strengthen a team.
