This page has all your camp information for 2023.
Here we go – the excitement for Camp 2023 can begin! Last year was fabulous with it being our first full residential camp post Covid and we are expecting this year to be just as great, if not better!!
Pony Club Camp 2023 will be held during the week 24 to 28 July 2023 at the BSJA Showground by kind invitation of the BSJA Committee (the Pony Club field will also be used).
Below are:
* the Camp Application Letter, please read;
* the Essential Camp Information Letter, please read this too, and;
* the Application Form which should be returned to Pippa by 31 May (by email jdhpc.dc@gmail.com or by post to Mont Cochon Farm, Rue De Trachy, St Helier JE2 3JN) ahead of the compulsory camp meeting night on 6 June.
Please note you must be qualified – attended at least 2 mounted rallies, one of which must be on the pony you are bringing to camp. There will be no exception to this qualification rule for members attending with their pony/horse. The 20-21 May Mounted Rally with Dag Albert will be counted as a qualifier. Conscious of the number of new rider/pony combinations, there is potential for an extra local instructor mounted rally to be held, particularly for the members which need to have attended at least one rally on the pony/horse that they are bringing to camp – details on this to follow. Anyone not fulfilling this qualification requirement, will, if there is space, be assessed on a case-by-case basis at the discretion of the Committee.
Pony Club is currently thriving and we are anticipating camp being heavily subscribed. It is likely that we will have to cap numbers for safety reasons. Please submit your applications asap for us to determine numbers and enable us to make plans to facilitate as many members as practicably possible.
Please let me know if you have any queries.
