Summer Camp 2026 will run from Sunday 5th July to Wednesday 8th July at Danescroft. This camp is residential for our older members (those starting secondary school that September and upwards). Younger members are dropped off for breakfast every morning and go home in the evenings after dinner and activities, but ponies stay on site. We have rides suitable for all levels and camp is always great fun.

 

Costs for Camp will be:

  • First Child- £xxx
  • Second Child- £xxx
  • Third and subsequent children- £xxx

A non refundable deposit of £xxx per member is due before xxx in order to plan venue and instructors and this can be paid on Its Plain Sailing now

 

Members will have 2 ridden sessions each day as well as horse & pony care sessions. Members will be judged every day on care of their pony, turnout and stable management. Turnout is mostly relaxed:

  • Cream, white or plain dark coloured jodhpurs
  • Pony Club sweatshirt/ polo shirt
  • Long hair must be in a ponytail or plaited
  • Clean ponies and tack
  • Hats must be tagged
  • Body protectors are recommended for jumping
  • Skull caps and body protectors MUST be worn for cross country

Plaiting and full turnout will be judged on Wednesday

Riders

Hairnets essential for girls/ No jewellery/ Cream or white jodhpurs/ White shirt and PC tie or stock/ Navy, Black or Tweed jacket/ PC badge (and felt) on left lapel/ Plain, dark coloured gloves/ Hat with dark coloured silk Black or brown boots

Ponies

Pony plaited & groomed until spotless/ Well shod and hoof oil applied/ Tack spotless (including bit)/ Stitching in good condition/ Stirrups should be correct size/ Plain white numnah or saddlecloth
