SUMMER 2021
After a long time off after the COVID – 19 pandemic we were able to provide lots of opportunities for our members post lock down. During the summer we hosted lots of rallies and even some mounted games training. Members got the opportunity to get out competing as well being able to attend our camp during the summer holidays!
Our rallies provided our junior members the perfect chance to get back into the swing of things and have some fun after a quiet season in 2020. The summer saw many of our members getting to grips with their ponies and developing their skills, from practicing their canter to competing in their first one day event!
CAMP 2021:
We were able to hold our yearly summer camp this year at Duchy College. The three day camp offered our more experienced rider a chance to have fun and work hard to continue their learning and practice their riding. With a range of stable management and riding lessons as well as a few good games of rounders, our members were able to leave with big smiles on their faces! At the same time we offered a two day camp for our lead rein members who took it all in their stride and got to participate in stable management lessons and normal riding lessons. Over the three days we saw many great achievements and personal bests as well as lots of people coming home with new achievements badges to sew onto their jumpers.
OPEN SHOW AT DUCHY COLLEGE:
We had the opportunity his summer to host an open show to all members and non-members. There were both in hand and ridden classes with lots of lovely horses and ponies participating throughout the day. Some of our members took part and showed us how well they could work with their ponies to produce a lovely display of their hard work.
FUN RIDE:
We organised a short fun ride for our lesson condident/ lead rein members which gave them a chance to have some fun at the end of the summer. With an option to jump and a tea and cake stop with friendly faces half way round it was a lovely day.
