Rhiannon May

District Commissioner
Horses have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember — I was riding Shetland ponies before I could walk! I grew up in riding clubs and later joined Pony Club with a lovely ex-racehorse called Plod. With a family background in horse racing and breeding, I’ve always had a huge soft spot for Thoroughbreds. Over the years I’ve evented, learnt to play polo, worked in horse racing, hunted, tried side saddle, and now enjoy riding with my daughter, who has been a member of L&R for five years with her ponies, Polo and Minty. I’m passionate about Pony Club being a super fun place to be for our members. The Pony Club years fly by, and I’d love every member at L&R to look back on them as some of the best times of their childhood — just as they were for so many of us. Here’s to making L&R Pony Club memories that last a lifetime.

Lauren Semple

Branch Secretary
I’m a Pony Club parent with two daughters currently in the club, we have two ponies who keep us very busy. I have a genuine love of horses and the Pony Club ethos, and really enjoy seeing the children learn new skills, try new things, grow in confidence, and build lasting friendships along the way. I support the club as Branch Secretary, helping things run smoothly behind the scenes, so that members and volunteers can get the most out of everything the Pony Club offers.

Georgina Snodgrass

Assistant District Commissioner
Georgina began riding at age 11 and grew up as a dedicated member of the Lanarkshire and Renfrewshire Pony Club, where she thrived on day rallies and camps—still some of her favourite memories. She worked her way through the Pony Club tests (including a very memorable and nerve-wracking trip to Aberdeen for her H test and also went on to earn her BHSAI and instructed at pony club on a regular basis she proudly representing her branch at Area level in dressage and show jumping. She built many friendships being part of this club and can’t wait to make more. After stepping away from the saddle to raise her children, she returned to the Pony Club world when her daughter Olivia joined two years ago. Now, as part of the Lanarkshire and Renfrewshire team, she’s always up for fun, adventure, and a good laugh (especially when there’s a water fight at camp involved!). She hopes to be approachable and driven to make the club a fun team to be involved in.

My name is Clare McCulloch, and I’m proud to support L&R Pony Club as your Safeguarding Officer and Rally Organiser for Southside. For the past seven years, I’ve enjoyed being involved alongside my daughter Rachael and her Connemara pony, Eric. Pony Club has given us a strong sense of community and many lasting memories. Away from rallies and competitions, “Team McCulloch” also includes three retired horses who may not take part in Pony Club activities but are very much treasured members of our family.

Cathy Beaton

Camp Organiser
Hi, I’m Cathy. I came through Pony Club myself many years ago and absolutely loved it — I learned so much and made lifelong friends that I still have today. My daughter Kayleigh is also a member of the club and can usually be found with her very cheeky pony, Cosmo! I’ve worked with horses my whole life and have competed for Scotland twice in dressage, as well as doing some eventing. Pony Club has been a huge part of my journey, and I’m delighted to now be involved as a camp organiser.

Linzi McDade

Rally Organiser (Houston)
My name is Linzi and I am delighted to be responsible for organising Houston summer rallies. Horses have been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember, and I became a first-time horse owner back in 2004. I was lucky enough to live out a long-held dream by competing at a few British Eventing competitions, although most of my competitive experience has been at unaffiliated Riding Club level, with dressage always being my real passion. I competed happily up to Elementary level and still love everything about the sport. My daughter Carly has very much inherited the pony-mad gene, and in April 2025, once she was finally tall enough, we welcomed Allegra as our first ever mother–daughter share horse. While the “sharing” nowadays mostly involves me mucking out, paying the bills and acting as trailer taxi, it’s been incredibly rewarding to watch Carly’s confidence and love for horses grow. I’m really looking forward to giving back to Pony Club, supporting members, and helping to make the summer rallies fun, welcoming and well organised for everyone involved.
