Rallies are group lessons, which can cover any aspects of riding and pony care and all levels. The price charged for each rally covers the cost of tuition and facilities for that rally.
By sharing lessons with qualified Pony Club registered coaches, Pony Club members can access first-class tuition at reasonable prices. At some rallies members work on a specific discipline such as dressage, cross country, mounted games or stable management. Others are general rallies where several different disciplines are covered.
Rallies also provide the opportunity for members to work towards The Pony Club Tests, further details of which can be found below.
Rallies are very social events where like-minded youngsters forge lasting friendships. They are open to all ages and abilities unless specified otherwise.
Members equipment must comply with the current Pony Club safety standards, please see below for more information.
Points can be accumulated at any Tack and Turnout Rallies throughout the year. These points are then added together and the winners and top placings are awarded with rosettes and trophies in each age category at our annual awards night.
In the colder months we run indoor Rallies that are usually held on a weekday evening with only one or two rides on at a time. Lessons run up to one hour long and ride times are published in the week leading up to the Rally. Each member is put into a group with riders of a similar age and/or ability. When booking it is important you answer the questions about riding ability honestly so each member gets put in the correct ride and gets the most out of the Rally.
Parents are expected to help with set up, poo picking, pole picking, tidy up and any moving of equipment during the lesson. Please ensure you are tacked up and on for your start time as these sessions cannot run over.
At our Summer Rallies members enjoy two lessons separated by stable management. As well as building upon their equestrian knowledge these Rallies give our members the opportunity to spend time with each other in between rides and build their friendships within the Branch. When booking it is important you answer the questions about riding ability honestly so each member gets put in the correct ride and gets the most out of the Rally.
Parents are expected to help with set up, poo picking, pole picking, tidy up and any moving of equipment during the lesson. Please ensure you are tacked up and on for your start time.
