TETRATHLON runs for Pony Club children of all ages and abilities \u2013 even the parents get involved occasionally!<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n

The tetrathlon is a competition consisting of four phases – pistol shooting (beanbag throwing if you are under 8), swimming, running and riding a cross country course. It is a team and individual competition. 
Winter Triathlons exclude the riding phase and are a good introduction to the discipline, especially if your riding is not too strong yet.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n

Tetrathlon punches well above its weight in terms of fun, inclusiveness, team ethos, training, parties, voluntary parent involvement, International competitions and exchanges.  Getting involved creates the development of enduring, geographically widespread friendships and the commitment until the last minute possible of many senior Pony Club members.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n

Competition levels progress with age. Classes are<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n

Open (25 and Under)<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n

\n

Intermediate (25 and Under)<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n

\n

Junior (14 and Under)<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n

\n

Minimus (11 and Under)<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n

\n

Tadpoles (9 and Under)<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n

\n

Beanies (7 and Under)<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n

\n

The Shoot involves shooting with air pistols at targets between 7 and 10 metres, the Swim is the distance swum in 2 to 4 minutes, the Run is normally cross country over a distance of between 1000m and 3000m, and the Ride is over a cross country course, the most exhilarating phase for many.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n
