HOW TO JOIN

PLEASE COME AND VISIT US

If you are thinking of becoming a member why not come along on foot to watch our Branch in action at a Rally.

RALLIES

We meet every Tuesday (except for a short break during the summer holidays and Christmas) for rallies in the Indoor schools at Pencoed College. The rallies start at 6:30 and finish at 8:30. So come along and view a rally in action at anytime during that period. We do hold other rallies at different venues on different days occasionally so just keep an eye on the Rally Schedule page for last minute alterations and additions.

HOW TO FIND US

To find us drive in through the main gate of Pencoed Agricultural College, drive straight through the first main  car park and follow the road up to the top end of the college where you will come to a second smaller car park on your left. Normally full of horse trailers on a rally night!! Find somewhere to park and then come and find us in the big building next to the car park which is the indoor riding school. We look forward to showing you around.

HOW TO JOIN

Please contact the Llangeinor Hunt Pony Club Membership Secretary (see contact us page)

WHAT COSTS ARE INVOLVED?

There is an annual membership fee which runs from 1st February each year of £72 per child or £180 for a family of more than 2 children.

If you join after 1st July you pay a part year membership fee of £46 per child or £115 for a family of more than 2 children.

You then pay a fee to cover the cost of the instructor and hire of the venue (usually Pencoed indoor schools). This is normally £10 per rally mounted, but clinic nights are £15 and £5 for a dismounted rally (horse care lessons).

You only have to attend 3 rallies a year in order to maintain your membership, but most members come at least once a month and some children enjoy coming every week.

WHAT SKILLS WILL YOU GAIN FROM PONY CLUB

The activities available are incredible  and you can try everything.

The ridden rallies offer a high level of instruction and you will be given the opportunity to pass efficiency tests (which if taken to the optimum level will qualify you to become a riding instructor yourself).

We run clinics for those wishing to develop their riding skills in a particular sport such as Show Jumping, Cross Country, Dressage, Tetrathlon and Eventing.

We have teams and individuals representing our Branch in the National Championships in most of the disciplines we offer.

You will meet new friends who share you passion for ponies and have a chance to come on our summer camp.

The skills and knowledge you gain from Pony Club will not only make you a better rider and better equipped with the knowledge to care for your pony, but will provide you with many exciting experiences, qualifications and memories to last you a lifetime.
