General Rallies

To qualify for Camp and Area competitions you are required to attend at least three of these General Rallies per year.

General Rallies are riding lessons that are not always specific to a discipline. Rallies are held at a variety of Venues which include indoor schools, outdoor schools and suitable fields.

We like our Rallies to be smart so we ask members to wear their PC Sweatshirts, cream jods, black boots and hair tied up and with a hair net. Horses and Ponies and asked to be turned out clean and tidy but with out the stress of plaiting.

Discipline Lessons

Jumping and Dressage- These are open to all unless stated otherwise. They will concentrate on a particular discipline, usually in small groups.  However these do not count towards your three qualifying Rallies for Camp and Area competition.

We often use Katie Williams for Show Jumping and Amanda Leaker for Dressage.

Area Competition Specific Training – In preparation for Area 10 Competitions Discipline specific Training will be scheduled.  these will be opened up on occasions to everyone if numbers allow. Please contact the DC to be included.

Unmounted Horse & Pony Care Rallies

Practice for the Area Quiz and the Area Horse & Pony Care competitions, plus stable management for achievement tests and badges. Open to all members, whatever age. Learn, have fun and be with friends! No horses needed so open to siblings that do not have a pony. These are in events as the horses are not needed.

Riding and Road Safety

We will have mini Road Rider badge, Road Rider badge and Road Rider Tests taking place during the coming year. Some training will take place at General Rallies.

You will need your Road Rider Test for B Test and also soon for C+.

The Road Rider badge is needed for D+ Test.

Mounted Games

Mounted games practices are organised all year round, and new faces are always welcome.

Shooting Training is organised and there is a Pony Club gun to get you started. Come along and have a try.

Annual Pony Club Camp

Our PC camp is varied every year and we look to change things up for the members.

Social Events

Members, parents and siblings are all invited to any social events.

Our members represent us at all different competitions including the ones we put on ourselves which are our Annual Show, Team Jumping and Christmas Show.
