Areas Competitions Info

Area events are the first qualifying stop to get to The Pony Club Championships. For many members this is the aim of the year to succeed at Area Competitions. 

Last year we had an amazing year with many top 3 placings at areas in Dressage, Showjumping and Eventing.

There are eligibility rules that are to be followed to allow everyone a fair chance, these can be found here:

Dress code for Ridden Areas (Not Mounted Games)

Remember in the Pony Club plain is best! Riders must not have no facial piercings!

Long hair must be tied up (most go for buns) with a hair net and PC scrunchy.

Tack inspectors do not like pink velvet collars, bling, logos either on you or your pony. You cannot change anything in-between tack inspection and competing. They will ask you to remove the item which can cause issue if you do not have a spare with you.

Badges and felts must be on left lapel.

PC legal hat in navy or black or with navy or black hat silk are necessary. Which must be tagged with the turquoise tag (Purple is not up to date anymore).  Hat rules: Hat_Rule_2019.

Body Protectors are compulsory for XC. Body Protector Rules: Body_Protector_Rule_2019 

Cream, beige or white jodhpurs/breeches.

Long boots or jodhpurs boots in black or brown.

White shirt, pony club tie or pony club stock with pin.

Navy, black or tweed traditional jacket. 

Whips may be carried for dressage.

Gloves must be worn for dressage.

No martingales or boots on pony for dressage. 

White, cream, navy, black or brown saddle cloth/numnah (No logos unless PC logo).
