{"id":1059,"date":"2024-03-23T14:26:56","date_gmt":"2024-03-23T14:26:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/branches.pcuk.org\/middletoneastside\/?page_id=1059"},"modified":"2024-03-23T14:26:56","modified_gmt":"2024-03-23T14:26:56","slug":"dress-code","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/branches.pcuk.org\/middletoneastside\/dress-code\/","title":{"rendered":"Dress Code"},"content":{"rendered":"\r\n\r\n<section class=\"full-width-text py-5\">\r\n    <div class=\"container\">\r\n        <div class=\"row\">\r\n            <div class=\"col-lg-10 mx-auto\">\r\n                <p><strong>WHAT TO WEAR AT RALLIES &#8211; FULL DAY<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>There will always be a tack and turnout inspection at full day rallies. Your instructor will check your tack and give you turnout marks which will be added up throughout the year with a cup being awarded to the rider with the most marks.<\/p>\n<p>You will need:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Hard hat \u2013 with a pony club hat tag (see the DC if you haven\u2019t yet had yours tagged or if you have bought a new on). Hats must be worn at all times when mounted \u2013 and fastened! With plain hat cover (black or navy).<\/li>\n<li>Shirt &amp; tie or stock (preferably long sleeved)<\/li>\n<li>Jacket (either hacking jacket or plain navy or black jacket) \u2013 with pony club badge and correct felt indicating your test passed worn on the left lapel.<\/li>\n<li>Jodhpurs or breeches \u2013 plain and preferably fawn\/beige<\/li>\n<li>Jodhpur boots with plain black or brown chaps or gaiters or long riding boots<\/li>\n<li>Gloves<\/li>\n<li>Hair \u2013 should be tidy.\u00a0 Girls should securely tie their hair back and wear a Hair Net<\/li>\n<li>Optional \u2013 body protectors if desired (compulsory for cross country)<\/li>\n<li>Optional \u2013 Whip may be carried. Spurs may only be worn at the discretion of the DC.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>NOTE: If the weather is wet or cold, extra clothes, warm waterproof coats or similar may also be worn \u2013 but no hoods please.<\/p>\n<p>Horse\/Pony will need:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Grooming &#8211; Your pony must be clean and well groomed, preferably plaited and your tack must be clean and well fitted.<\/li>\n<li>Tack should also be plain and free from any \u2018bling\u2019 \u2013 your pony probably looks much better without it!<\/li>\n<li>Your numnah should be plain and have no logos or braiding on it.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>NOTE: If you are hacking to a Rally please ensure you &amp; your pony are wearing bright hi-visibility clothing\/equipment!<\/p>\n<p>What not to wear . . . wellies\/muckers\/trainers or jeans and hoodies. Nor should you wear sleeveless shirts or ANY Jewellery (except a watch) or even nail varnish. This is for your own safety. Your horse or pony should never wear badly fitting tack.<\/p>\n<p>Please speak to the DC or chief instructor about anything you are not sure about.<\/p>\n                                                                <\/div>\r\n        <\/div>\r\n    <\/div>\r\n<\/section>\r\n\n\n\r\n\r\n<section class=\"full-width-text py-5\">\r\n    <div class=\"container\">\r\n        <div class=\"row\">\r\n            <div class=\"col-lg-10 mx-auto\">\r\n                <p><strong>WHAT TO WEAR AT CROSS COUNTRY RALLIES<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>You will need to wear hat (must not have a fixed peak), gloves, boots etc as above PLUS your pony club sweat shirt, body protector and medical armband.<\/li>\n<li>Your Horse\/Pony wont need to be plaited but will need to be clean. As will your tack.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n                                                                <\/div>\r\n        <\/div>\r\n    <\/div>\r\n<\/section>\r\n\n\n\r\n\r\n<section class=\"full-width-text py-5\">\r\n    <div class=\"container\">\r\n        <div class=\"row\">\r\n            <div class=\"col-lg-10 mx-auto\">\r\n                <p><strong>WHAT TO WEAR FOR, HALF DAY RALLIES, TEAM TRAINING AND GAMES\/FUN DAYS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>You should always wear:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Hard Hat \u2013 see above<\/li>\n<li>Boots \u2013 see above<\/li>\n<li>Gloves<\/li>\n<li>Plain jodhpurs or breeches<\/li>\n<li>Hair \u2013 as above<\/li>\n<li>Pony Club Sweatshirt or Polo Shirt.\u00a0 Hoodies are not allowed for any ridden activities under any circumstances. Long sleeves are compulsory for ALL jumping \u2013 without exception.<\/li>\n<li>Your Horse\/Pony should be clean but plaiting is not required. Your tack must be clean and well fitting.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n                                                                <\/div>\r\n        <\/div>\r\n    <\/div>\r\n<\/section>\r\n\n\n\r\n\r\n<section class=\"full-width-text py-5\">\r\n    <div class=\"container\">\r\n        <div class=\"row\">\r\n            <div class=\"col-lg-10 mx-auto\">\r\n                <p><strong>WHAT TO WEAR FOR PONY CLUB TESTS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For all tests, you must pay a great deal of attention to your turnout \u2013 first impressions do count! Both you and your pony should be turned out to the highest standards as you would for a full day rally.<\/p>\n<p>If you are participating in any Road Rider sessions, please ensure you and your pony wear all your hi-visibility equipment and clothing.<\/p>\n                                                                <\/div>\r\n        <\/div>\r\n    <\/div>\r\n<\/section>\r\n\n\n\r\n\r\n<section class=\"full-width-text py-5\">\r\n    <div class=\"container\">\r\n        <div class=\"row\">\r\n            <div class=\"col-lg-10 mx-auto\">\r\n                <p><strong>WHAT TO WEAR AT AREA TEAM COMPETITIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>YOU MUST consult the Rule Book for the discipline in which you are competing.
