All three disciplines are usually completed on the same day. Rider\/horse combinations can compete individually and as part of a team.<\/p>\n<p>An Area qualifying competition will be held each year usually in July and if the horse\/rider combination are successful they will be eligible to compete and represent NWPC at the Pony Club Championships in August.<\/p>\n<p>To be selected as part of a team or to ride as an individual at the qualifying competition riders must attend at least two rallies during the year (camp will count as a rally). You must also provide recent competition results at the level you wish to compete at. If you have any queries, please get in touch with <a href=\"https:\/\/branches.pcuk.org\/northwarwickshire\/contact-us\/\">Jayne or Liz<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The Pony Club Championships for competitions from 90-100+ are held at Offchurch and the Regional Championship competitions for 70cm-80cm are held at Kelsall Hill Equestrian. The format for the Championship competitions are the same format as for the qualifying competitions though for 90cm and upwards the disciplines may not all run on the same day.<\/p>\n<p>During the winter months Eventing moves into the arena.\u00a0 Arena eventing consists of a show jumping section followed by cross country fences set up in the arena.\u00a0 It is judged on faults and closest to the optimum time.\u00a0 There is an Area team and individual competition at PC70, PC80, PC90 and PC100 levels during the winter which qualifies for the Pony Club Spring Festival Championship.<\/p>\n                                    <\/div>\r\n            <\/div>\r\n\r\n                    <\/div>\r\n<\/section>\r\n\n\n\r\n<section class=\"content-left-right py-5\">\r\n    <div class=\"container py-md-4\">\r\n        \r\n                <div class=\"row align-items-center flex-row-reverse\">\r\n                    <div class=\"col-md-6\">\r\n                        <div class=\"content-image\">\r\n                                                        <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/branches.pcuk.org\/northwarwickshire\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/461\/2024\/03\/dressage-pure.jpg\" class=\"card-img-mobile\" alt=\"\"\/>\r\n                                                    <\/div>\r\n                    <\/div>\r\n                    <div class=\"col-md-6\">\r\n                        <div class=\"content-description-left\">\r\n                            <h2><strong>What to wear for Dressage phase:<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Current standard hat &#8211; hats and hat covers must be predominately black, navy blue or a conservative dark colour that matches the rider\u2019s jacket<\/li>\n<li>Jodphurs\/Breeches &#8211; white, cream or beige (with or without dark-coloured contrast seats)<\/li>\n<li>Riding jacket \u00a0&#8211; a traditional style worn with a Pony Club Tie or hunting stock.<\/li>\n<li>Standard riding or jodhpur boots with a well defined square cut heel may be worn. Plain black or brown half chaps may be worn with jodhpur boots of the same colour. Tassels and fringes are not allowed.<\/li>\n<li>White NWPC numnah<\/li>\n<li>Snaffle Bit (See rules)<\/li>\n<li>No Martingale<\/li>\n<li>Gloves<\/li>\n<li>Hair should be tied back securely, in a safe manner to reduce the risk of hair being caught and to prevent scalp injuries<\/li>\n<li>No button holes<\/li>\n<li>At prize-giving, mounted or dismounted, competitors must be correctly dressed in their competition riding clothes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Please refer to the current Eventing <a href=\"https:\/\/resources.pcuk.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/01\/Rulebook-Eventing-2024-Final_Web-v050124.pdf\">rule book<\/a> if you are unsure whether your bit or tack is \u2018legal\u2019. Dark-coloured contrast seats are permitted.<\/li>\n<li>Riding jacket &#8211; a traditional style worn with a Pony Club Tie or hunting stock.<\/li>\n<li>Pony Club badge with felt, if applicable, worn on left lapel.<\/li>\n<li>Current standard Hat \u2013 if a hat cover is worn, they should be dark blue, black or brown only.<\/li>\n<li>Standard riding or jodhpur boots with a well-defined square cut heel may be worn. There will be dressage and show jumping training throughout the year (see separate sports pages).
