Health and safety rules:

Hats must be of the required standard  and they must all have the BSI kitemark.  They should now be tagged. Any hats /not already tagged must be done so at the next rally or event. Spurs may only be worn by those holding their “B” test or carrying written permission from the DC. The riders are encouraged to prepare their own pony and clean the tack.

For the current hat please read hat-rule-2020

For Outdoor Rallies, you should always take your Body Protector along as they are compulsory for XC jumping. You are not allowed to jump XC with a hat with a fixed peak.

For the latest body protector rules, please read body-protector-rule-2020

Finally, it is requested that all ponies are vaccinated against Equine Influenza and are up to date with their vaccination’s before attending any Pony Club activity. This is for your own pony/horse’s protection. Please make sure you travel with your passport/vaccination record as different venues and ourselves may ask to check it. Horses are considered vaccinated after they have had their initial 2 injections and the boosters have been given at 12 months after the 1st 6 month booster injection.

For all information on Equine injections please read pony-club-vaccination-rules-2020

Members will not be accepted for a place at Senior Camp unless they have attended at least 1 working rally in the current year.

Crowwood Equestrian Centre:

M65 Junction 11  (from East only)

Dalesview Riding Centre

Low Green Farm, Gargrave.

From A65 turn South into Church st. Turn left before St Andrew’s Church into Church lane. Continue down here, through farmyard into the Rally field. From A59 turn North at Broughton into Gargrave rd. Continue for approx 2 miles. Turn Right beyond Church into Church lane, then as above.

Little House Burnsall

Coming from Lancashire on A59:

Enter roundabout at Skipton (Little Chef) and take the second exit (Harrogate Leeds). To the next roundabout and take the first exit on the B6265 Grassington road. Keep going on here going through Rylstone and Cracoe and past Swindon Quarry on left and take first right just after quarry signed posted Linton. (If anyone misses this turning they will come into Threshfield and they need to take the right turn to Grassington then immediately right again to Burnsall B6160). Otherwise, go through Linton Village and to the crossroads and take the right turn to Burnsall B6160. Keep going along this road and you will eventually come into Burnsall. Little House is the first farm on the right, but come past the main yard and there will be a sign post to direct everyone into the back yard. If anyone gets to the Village Hall, Church or School they have gone too far, but they can turn round at the bottom of the village by the Red Lion where there is plenty of room to swing round.

We suggest that even the people from Ilkley etc come this way unless they know the road from Bolton Abbey which is quite twisty and not a comfortable ride for ponies in trailers. Wagons should get through the arch at Bolton Abbey, but again it would be an easier run to come Skipton way.

The postcode for any Sat Nav systems is BD23 6BN but make sure that it goes via Cracoe and not Embsay. Mrs Stockdale’s  mobile number is 07764463356 so if anyone gets lost, they can give her a ring.

Broomhill , Smalden Lane,  Grindleton.

In Grindleton. Turn uphill at the Duke of York on to Main St/ Green Dale View towards Slaidburn.  Approx 1 mile road turns 90° right, 150m after bend, entrance on right.

Towneley Farm

Towneley Farm is accessed through Towneley Park off the A671. Follow the road up through the park. At the fork, take the right fork, go through the car park, ignore the no entry sign, between the walls and up through the wood. Farm on right.
