We’re thrilled to share some exciting news! PWPC is planning to enter the Pony Club Virtual Musical Ride Competition this year, and we’d love our members (and some fantastic parent volunteers!) to be part of it 🎶🐴

Musical Ride is a fun, team-based performance where riders work together to music, creating formations and patterns in the arena. It’s all about teamwork, confidence-building, creativity, and plenty of laughter!

Teams usually include 6–12 riders and are open to all PWPC members. Groups can be mixed ability and may include lead rein riders, so everyone can get involved. To see what it’s all about, here’s the winning video from last year:

🌟 What’s involved?

  • The team (or teams) will prepare a routine between June and November, finishing with a filmed performance entered into the competition.

  • Practice sessions will be spread across May to October, with approximately 1–2 sessions per month as needed.

  • The project will conclude with a championship-style final filming day!

This year’s virtual competition will act as a stepping stone towards future Pony Club Championships, giving our riders an amazing team experience and something really special to work towards.

🎵 Who’s leading the project?

  • Parent Team Leader: Nathalie Britton

  • Coach & Choreographer: Elaine Hazelwood

  • Committee Contacts: Emma Hogg, Suzanne Adamthwaite & Holly Robertson (Safeguarding Officer)

🙋‍♀️ Volunteers needed!

To make this a success, we’re also looking for parent volunteers to help with:

  • Music editing and timing

  • Video filming and uploading

  • Costume coordination

(Full guidance will be provided – enthusiasm is the main requirement!)
