What a time was had by all, thank you so much to all our members, instructors, parents,family and friends. Especially our hosts Henry,Marie and Antony.

Without your help we would not be able to run this special traditional event. To see the children progress, enjoy their ponies and friendships is what The Radnors is about.

Please Read Camp Notes:

Camp can only run smoothly with the help of all parents. OVERNIGHT HELPERS BY LAW HAVE TO HOLD A DBS CERTIFICATE. no other parents are allowed to stay onsite.

A help rota is  prepared and sent out to parents before camp and is also displayed on the notice board and in the lines.Please check and make a note of where you are.

Parents will not be allowed to help their own child’s ride.
The following help is required and will be sent to you.
Working Party will be required A day or so before to help set up camp, unload show jumps, set up dressage arenas, set up jumping grid. 
Put up tents.  Label the lines with the different rides, label the tack room.  A general tidy up to make sure the areas are safe for the members.
Overnight Helpers arrive help with washing up of the evening meal, help with the evening activity, supervise the evening hot drink, or supervise the camping field, get members in to their tents before dark.  In the morning wake members at 7.30am and send older rides to feed the stabled horses and muck out.  8am help with breakfast.

Morning Helpers arrive either help to wash up from breakfast and clean toilets or help with catching and supervising the morning feed.

Morning/Lunchtime Helpers arrive supervise members whilst they are grooming and tacking up ready for their instructor at 9.30am.  Go down to the field to help supervise the rides in case of an incident, and be there to help move jumps as required.  Help wash up from lunch.

Line Helpers arrive supervise ponies whilst they are tied up in the lines to make sure they are safe. Lunch will be brought to you.

Afternoon Helpers arrive supervise members whilst they are grooming and tacking up.  Go down to the field to help supervise the rides in case of an incident and be there to help move jumps as required. Return to the lines and help supervise tack cleaning and mucking out of the lines.  

Evening Activities Helpers to assist with the activities. 6.30 – 8.30pm

ON THE LAST DAY
All parents help to clear up the site before prize giving.
Show jumps are loaded on to the trailers, dressage arenas are put away where required.
The camp site is cleared of all members equipment.  Rubbish is taken to the kitchen bin.
All Parents and Members The Lines are mucked out and the straw is swept back or cleared completely as requested.  The barn is swept and left spotless!

Tents are taken down and put away on trailers as requested.  The camp site is to be left clear of any tents or rubbish.

 

PRIZE GIVING WILL COMMENCE ONCE THE CAMP HAS BEEN CLEARED.


PLEASE DO NOT STAND AROUND AND WAIT FOR PRIZE GIVING, ASK THE SECRETARY OR DC FOR ANOTHER JOB TO HELP TO CLEAR THE SITE EFFICIENTLY.
