Sun Shines On Annual Show Day

Our 2nd Annual Show was on the 25th May.  The weekend that would have been Scotsburn ODE date in previous years so it was lovely to see us back at Scotsburn celebrating 65 years of Ross-shire Pony Club in our annual show.

Thanks have to go to all our judges, Karen Mowat, Stephen Cruickshank, James Munro, Alison Blackburn & Donna Newton as well as our stewards, Rhona Cross, Ailsa Black, Gavin Kelt & Lee Macdonald.  Our photographers Sarah Milne & Mandy and Maddie Gill as well as all our volunteers on the day (you were all amazing) all those who baked and made sandwiches and looked after our officials so well.

The picture is of our Overall Supreme of Show Becca Cameron with Murdoch Mhor of Croila Croft.  Reserve Champion was Zoe Clarke with Markey IV (pictured in the middle) and on the right is our highest placed member in show, Ella Munro with Annandale Fashion at their first show together.  Pictured with Ella is dad, Alan who presented the Supreme as a thanks for all his efforts in getting us show ready as well as the XC course ready.  You can see in the picture our brand new course of Working Hunter Jumps built by Alan’s dad & Stewart Bain Snr.

On the whole, we had a great day.  There was 107 combinations entered and we saw lots of smiling faces throughout the day.

Thank you to all our competitors who came along and made the day a day to remember.  Whilst the organising and running of the show is hard work, it is worth it seeing all the smiling faces.

Thank you also to our very hard working committee and parents/supporters who put so much effort into organising and supporting the show.  It couldn’t run without them so their efforts are hugely appreciated.

Last but not least, thanks to all our former members, supporters and volunteers.  It was great seeing so many turn up to support the day.  We had former DCs and Assisting DCs, parents, members, committee members all arrive to watch the day whilst having a cuppa and some celebratory cake.  Thanks for taking the time out of your day to join us.
