Ross-shire Celebrates Cath Aiton being awarded the Cherry Award at Presentation Evening
At the end of November, we celebrated our members at our presentation evening where we awarded trophies and prizes for all their efforts throughout the year. We couldn’t let the evening pass though without also celebrating one of our favourite coaches, Cath Aiton, who was awarded the Cherry Award.
Cath has worked so hard over the past couple of decades investing lots of time and effort into both Inverness & Ross-shire as well as many other pony clubs. Last year, she took the time out of her busy schedule to accompany our young team down to their first ever area’s competition. She course walked with them and supported them in all phases of the 1 day event, keeping their nerves at bay whilst giving them the tips on how best to deal with each section.
In 2025, the effort she put into supporting the XC training, North Cup and supporting nerves and lack of confidence in our members shone through with all our members.
Cath is loved by all our members and it was a pleasure seeing her accept the award which was a huge surprise for her on the night. She was presented by Jack & Stella after Jack read out her letter from Pony Club chairman, Tim Vestey, congratulating her on the award. Well done Cath and thank you for all you do for our members.
