Quizzers success fundraising for their trip to Sheffield
RPC QUIZ FINALS After weeks of practicing online and in person our amazing team came 3rd in the qualifiers up in Caithness. I couldn’t believe it when they called our team name in 3rd place….. that only meant one thing. We had qualified for the finals In Sheffield! The planing started straight away. Step 1 – create a group chat. (Team Sheffield) Step 2 – organising fundraising, our mums went into action and organised selling raffle squares and a race night. We were kindly donated prizes and we got to work straight away and started selling the squares for £10 and managed to sell 100 squares in no time! The race night was organised by Karen and Jamie and we also had raffle prizes on the night. The race night was great fun even though none of my horses won. The highlight of the night was Jamie singing. We raised a huge amount of money and would like to thank everyone for their kind donations and support. Step 4 – getting to Sheffield…. We’re taking the train so our mums can relax for a few hours while we do our final revision. We have our game faces on and ready to represent RPC. We will be taking our new mascot with us on our Quiz Journey. We need to name him or her so let us know what your suggestions are? We’ll keep you posted on our quiz journey, Kayla x
The race night was a huge success. Jamie came up with the idea and with a lot of help from mum, granny, granda and friends, fellow quizzers & families they pulled off a fabulous evening raising £1556.90 to support pay for the team going to Sheffield. Well done to all involved in the fundraising activities, it was a great effort in supporting the members achieve their goals.
