Scotburn XC Course Maintenance Update
We are getting a lot of enquiries about hiring the XC course at Scotsburn.
The Pony Club have taken over the maintenance of the course and will be looking to hire it out shortly.
We are working hard to get the course painted and maintained.
Unfortunately, the weather wasn’t too kind to us over the winter months and it has been such a wet spring, we struggled to get to the course to maintain it.
We have completed the nursery field fully and are onto the rest of the course. The water jump is currently draining in preparation for Alan clearing it out and us getting in to maintain some of those jumps.
Hopefully we will be ready to go soon. If you can offer any support in painting, we will gladly take you up on any offers of time. Thank you to those who have supported already
It will be available to hire with your own instructor or with one organised. Keep your eye on the page for details.
Any questions or queries, please message on our facebook page or email us at ross-shire@pcuk.org
The course will be available 2 days per month from end of May until October.
Please remember it is a working farm and there is a bit of work involved in taking the cows off the land to allow us to hire it.
Keep an eye on our website and facebook page for details on how to book and availability
we are all looking forward to having this fabulous course available to us again for use.
Please be advised that an up to date standard of hat & body protector will be required to hire the course
We are looking forward to welcoming you.
Thanks have to go to Richard, Sally & Jen for entrusting us with the course maintenance and being so supportive towards us as we take on this new venture
We also need to thank Alan Munro from Munro Carpentry and joinery and his dad (who thought he had retired) for all their support and enthusiasm in not only maintaining the existing jumps but also putting in smaller jumps allowing the course to be inclusive.
Thank you also must go to Ravenhill Groundcare Team for supporting us for a 2nd year with a tractor & mower which has transformed the arena and parking area and will make a huge difference on the XC course.
Looking forward to seeing everyone enjoy the course.
