Jade Bailes – Secretary<\/h3>\n

Jade has gone full circle in the Seavington Branch. She used to be a member of the Seavington Pony Club as a child and now her 2 children are members and she is our Secretary. Jade has fond memories of her time in the Seavington Branch and maintains a number of friendships from all those years ago.\u00a0 Outside of The Pony Club, but horse related, Jade has a love for Exmoor Ponies. She has recently brought on a number of semi-feral colt foals.<\/p>\n

Jade became Secretary in 2024. She is keen to ensure that all our members enjoy their time in The Pony Club, with their beloved ponies, whilst forging friendships along the way – just as she did when she was a child.<\/p>\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n\r\n <\/div>\r\n<\/section>\r\n\n\n\r\n

Kim Dawkins – Treasurer<\/h3>\n

Kim was really lucky to grow up on a dairy farm in west Wales and spent a lot of her childhood tearing round the farm on her pony and enjoying pony club activities. Kim is now loving watching her daughter, a Seavington member, learn, grow and most of all have fun with friends. Kim took on the Treasurer role in January 2025 and is really pleased to be able to contribute to such an incredible\u00a0organisation.<\/p>\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n\r\n <\/div>\r\n<\/section>\r\n\n\n\r\n

Linda Paget<\/h3>\n

Linda’s first pony was a former grey hunting pony called Little Rocket. They enjoyed hacking out, and if there was a show within hacking distance, they rode to that. Fast forward through the years, Linda has qualified for various Dressage Championships – although she is very modest and would say this is nothing really outstanding. Linda says that her current horse, Rupert, is the best listener and it must be said that Rupert is a bit of a superstar within the Seavington Pony Club. Linda loves seeing the children learning and having fun with their ponies. The Seavington members and their parents all enjoy Linda’s wonderful cooking and fabulous catering at our Pony Club events, including camp.<\/p>\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n\r\n <\/div>\r\n<\/section>\r\n\n\n\r\n

Lola Ham<\/h3>\n

Lola joined the Seavington Pony Club when she was 10yrs old. Her highlight was representing the club in the area Dressage, Showjumping and Horse Trials teams. Lola completed up to her ‘B’ test.
\nSince then, Lola has worked in the equestrian industry. She now enjoys supporting and watching her two children progress through the Seavington Pony Club.<\/p>\n

Lola’s role on the committee is to manage and maintain the First Aid Kit, as well as to help and support where needed.<\/p>\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n\r\n <\/div>\r\n<\/section>\r\n\n\n\r\n

Victoria Holloway<\/h3>\n

As a child, Victoria, was a member of a Pony Club centre. She started riding consistently around the age of 11 and went on to become a Saturday Girl at the stables, working every Saturday leading all the small children. Victoria went on to become a Pony Club instructor teaching children theory and doing Pony Club badges.
\nWhile at college, Victoria did her A-levels along side BHS levels, resulting in her becoming a Pony Club accredited coach and teaching every weekend. She continued to teach whilst at university and ran the yard, full time. Victoria has such a passion for horses that when she left university she went to run a yard for lessons and liveries, instead of using her teaching degree.<\/p>\n

At the age of 21, Victoria got her first horse – a 17.2hh TB Rescue. She still enjoys riding now, you may see her hacking out with her daughter, working out in a dressage lesson or in a show ring. Equally, you are likely to see Victoria at our Pony Club rally’s and competitions.<\/p>\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n\r\n <\/div>\r\n<\/section>\r\n\n\n\r\n

Rachel Morton<\/h3>\n

Rachel was a member of the Seavington for around 15 years. Her Pony Club highlights include achieving her B Test, competing at the National Horse Trials in Manchester and winning a national postal shoot. Rachel was a mean shot! Most importantly, Rachel made some lifelong friends during her time in the Seavington with whom she now enjoys watching their own children benefitting from the opportunities the club has to offer.<\/p>\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n\r\n <\/div>\r\n<\/section>\r\n\n\n\r\n

Shona Turnbull-Kirk – Safeguarding Officer<\/h3>\n

I am part of the Seavington Pony Club because it provides a wonderful opportunity to watch our children and young adults develop riding skills, deepen their knowledge of equestrian care, and build lasting friendships with others who share the same love of horses. The club fosters a supportive and encouraging environment where members can learn about teamwork, responsibility, and sportsmanship. Being a part of Seavington Pony Club committee allows me to support a community that values both personal growth and the love of horses. Having ridden a long time ago, pre- Charlotte it\u2019s always great to be able to give pony scratches or a leg up\u00a0where\u00a0needed!<\/p>\n <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n\r\n <\/div>\r\n<\/section>\r\n\n\n\r\n
