The goal of dressage training is to develop our horse’s balance, suppleness, flexibility, obedience and responsiveness to aids.  This makes our horse stronger and more of a pleasure to ride and compete in all disciplines.

Dressage Rallies and Training:

Tania Mallows runs dressage rallies at Bovington throughout the winter and spring.  If you would like to be considered to represent the SDHPC as a team member or individual please contact Tania.  Anyone putting themselves forward for team or individual selection, must be available on both the Area and Championship Competition dates.

Area Competitions:

Open to all Members within Pony Club Area 14.   It’s a qualifying competition for individuals and teams for the National and Regional Championships. There are various levels to compete at based on ability and eligibility:-

Grassroots (to qualify for the PC Regional Championships)


Open Novice



Note: Teams and individuals are selected by the Team Trainer and entries are made by the Team Coordinator Tania Mallows.

National and Regional Championships:

For teams and individuals that have qualified at the Area Competition.
