Unmounted Activities

The Pony Club Mini Achievement Badge Scheme is a great way to gain more knowledge of horsemanship and the countryside, and you can have a lot of fun while you’re doing it!
Mini Badges are aimed at Members working through their E Test and towards their D Test.
There are 22 Mini Badges from care of the foot, mucking out to fire safety, poisonous plants etc.
The larger Badges are aimed at Members aged 9+ and there are 46 Badges ranging from bandaging & rugs, worm control to fitness, camping, yard safety etc.
A new gold badge is available for members attaining either 14 or more mini Badges or 21 large Badges. There are three purple hexagonal Badges too for Members who show knowledge & understanding at a higher level.
These Achievement Badge rallies are mostly Unmounted and held in various venues applicable to the badge being studied i.e., a stable yard for mucking out, horse clothing, grooming etc., hopefully a fire station for fire safety and open countryside for farming, wildlife, bird watching etc.
These rallies are a very good way to meet fellow members and refreshments are usually given.
