PONY CLUB ACHIEVEMENT BADGES

The Pony Club offers Mini Achievement Badges for younger Members’ as well as both equine and non-equine Achievement Badges for older members. Both types of achievement badge will help members to learn a wide range of skills like first-aid, farming, map reading, saddlery, road safety and grooming.

The badges are designed to help teach basic knowledge of horse and pony care to D+ and C Test levels in a rewarding, enjoyable and manageable way. As well as giving members a chance to improve their general knowledge of the countryside and the environment.

At present there are 49 badges to be achieved. On gaining 21 achievement badges, a Gold Badge and certificate can be awarded.

Some badges are more challenging than others. Members of any age or experience may attempt the badges but the scheme is most suitable for those with D Test working towards D+ and C.

The Mini Achievement Badges are aimed at younger children before Achievement Badge age. They are designed to give a basic grounding in the main topics of equestrian and countryside. There are 17 mini badges. Once 14 mini badges have been achieved a Mini Gold Badge and certificate can be awarded.
