Area 19 of the Pony Club Foundation Eventing at Raehills

TOP JOB STEWARTRY PONY CLUB MEMBERS.
A fabulous day was had in the sun! Well done to all our members competing at the Area 19 of the Pony Club Foundation Eventing at Raehills!
The day started very well with the dressage element of the PC70 with all 4 girls doing well with Kayla Robertson coming first and Lucy Smith second in their sections. Yes Kayla really did get a score of 14.8! Kayla Roberston and Heidi Young then went double clear to come first and second respectively in their sections top job girls! And Lucy in her first XC and Charlotte on a young pony she has brought on herself coming 3rd and 4rth respectively in their sections. A great result and taking the team into 2nd place and qualifying for Regionals. A fabulous start to the competition!
Amira Mackay then did a great job in getting a young cheeky Hero round the PC70 XC and into 6th place.. Huge thank you from Kristina and the rest of the Lindsay (and Burton) family for the Hero training run.
Next in the PC60 and PC40 we had 2 mixed teams. All pulling together they did a great job. With the Stewartry Blue team of Aria McLachlan, Evie Young, Kate Dunlop, Rowan Dodds coming 5th. Special mention to Kate and Rowan who were 3rd and 5th in a big PC60 class. Great job Stewartry Blue Team!!
And then there was the Stewartry Greens so named as this was the first XC competition for all the partnerships. Well we won’t be referring to Jessica Hunter-Brown on Victor, Matilda Baggot on Charlie, Marney McConchie on Willow and Angus Baggot on Piglet and as green again!! They only went and won the mixed Teams. Top Job all! With Jessica 6th and Matilda just missing out on the rosettes in 8th in the huge PC60 class, and Marney 2nd in the PC40 and Angus 1st in the PC40 assisted. A well-deserved top podium for all!
The only slight blip in the day was a lame Rosa. So Kelly decided to give it a bash on Idaho who did a great dressage test taking them into 1st place and despite a very busy weekend competing for the partnership they got round the show jumping but not their day for the XC.  A fabulous effort for the partnership after 2 very busy days before today.
A massive thank you to all who helped on the day and to Dumfriesshire Hunt Branch of the Pony Club who put on such a brilliant day!
And finally a personal thanks to all those I press ganged into helping. These events are such a huge learning experience for the members taking part and we really appreciate your help.

A fantastic day at Raehills, topped of by the weather!
