The Surrey Union Pony Club is a very active branch with a wide membership of boys and girls from 5 years to 25 years. The branch is part of Pony Club Area 11 and was established in 1935.
- Rallies, lessons and events all the year round, including ter
m time, for all ages and riding abilities, including flatwork and jumping lessons with experienced and friendly instructors.
- Fun events such as the mounted Christmas Party
- Tests and badges (riding skills and stable management)
- Stable management days and trips, such as a visit to Pippa Funnell’s yard.
- Three camps each summer: Mini and Midi camp for the younger riders, Main Camp at Twesledown
- Open and area competitions each year, including the Summer Open Show, Team Show Jumping, Dressage and the Eventer’s Challenge
- Training sessions for those who want to compete as an individual or in a teams: show jumping, cross-country and Tetrathlon
The members give their thanks to the energetic and dedicated volunteer team of trainers, grown-up members, parents, grandparents, and siblings, who run The Surrey Union.
