Area Dressage
Open class
Emma kicked off the day competing bright and early in the Open class. Despite the fact Emma’s time in the saddle has been limited recently, this did not deter her from an outstanding performance seeing her finish joint 1st and take team first as part of a mixed team, securing her a place at the National Championships later this season.
PC 70
Next up was Lily and Esther who both rode in the PC 70. This was a huge class 56 individuals competing. Lily, in true form produced a beautiful test coming in the top 20 and Esther made her debut outing with Walter making a great first impression finishing a phenomenal 4th! Both girls secured a place at the Regional Championships.
PC 80
Abbie, Chloe, Dixie and Esther formed a team for the PC 80 as well as competing as individuals. Again, another huge class of 58 combinations. Each did themselves proud and scored some impressive scores. All credit goes to Abbie in this section for completing her test on a rather excited Bracken! Congratulations to Chloe, Dixie and Esther for also qualifying for the Regional Championship as individuals.
Novice
To finish the day off, Chloe and Dixie rode in the Novice. A small hick-up sadly led to elimination for Dixie (was given the wrong test to learn by her mum 🤦♀️) but I am so very proud with how she dealt with the situation. Luckily she had the support of her pony club friends to help support her, which cannot be underestimated! Chloe rode a respectable test giving young Juliette another great experience.
