PC Regional Championship

Regional 70cm show jumping
We started the weekend with the 70cm SJ – a huge class with some highly competitive riding witnessed.
Our Tetcott and South Tetcott Pumas came an amazing overall 5th with the following rides:
Holly and Nancy both producing a fantastic double clear, making it through to the jump off.
Scarlett riding an amazing clear first round and just an unlucky 4 faults in her second round.
Holly went on to jump clear in the jump off, demonstrating her skill and ability to keep a level head under pressure and ride a tactful round seeing her win the 70cm SJ! 🥇
Whilst out Tetcott and South Tetcott Tigers may not have made it into the placings, the sportsmanship shown was exemplary.
Well done Oscar and Billie for a clear first round with then just 8 faults in the second round.
Bella and Grace didn’t have the success of clear rounds on this occasion, but demonstrated kindness and understanding to their horses which must always be praised above any achievement.

Regional Dressage PC 70
Team Tetcott and South Tetcott Buzzards also saw a team 5th in again a massive class with tough competition. They all secured strong individual placings within their sections too, to make this a double celebration.
Dixie came 1st in her section with a highly impressive score of 73% and then 9th in the ride off. 🥇
Nancy just missed the podium finishing 4th in her section.
Lily  and Esther finished just outside the placings with Esther coming in 13th and Lily 14th.

Regional Dressage PC 80
We again had a team representing us in this class with the Tetcott and South Tetcott Eagles.
Taylor and Abbie both rode young horses in this class and gave them the opportunity to experience a large show environment. Despite having already ridden two SJ rounds, Scarlett quickly turned to dressage mode to complete this team.

Regional Eventing 70cm
This class had some very challenging fences, both in height and with technical elements, and unfortunately saw a lot of combinations run into difficulties. I am extremely proud to say though that all our members not only successfully completed all sections of the day, but bought home some phenomenal results to place them team 1st! 🥇
Oscar had a beautiful dressage test, clear showjumping with no time penalties and just one stop XC putting him on the podium taking individual 3rd in his section.
Nancy also rode a lovely dressage test and then rode a double clear for the show jumping and XC without any time penalties – one of only 13 to achieve a double clear this across the whole class. This secured Nancy individual 4th in her section.
Holly rode a strong dressage test followed by another strong ride in the showjumping, having just one refusal, leading to some time penalties but then went on to ride a clear XC. Holly finished in the placings taking individual 7th in her section.
Dixie rode a beautiful dressage test leaving her in joint 1st following the first phase. She then successfully maintained her lead, riding double clears in both the show jumping and XC without any time penalties. This secured her joint 1st in her section! 🥇
Charlotte rode in this class as an individual, also representing our club really well. She rode clear rounds within the time in both the SJ and XC to finish on her dressage score and secure her 7th place in her section.

Regional Eventing 80cm
Emma flew into 1st position with a highly impressive dressage score of just 29.2, and then being the only competitor in her class not to pick up any faults SJ or XC, there was no catching her – she took 1st place on the podium. 🥇
Grace, like others, rode a young horse, giving him the experience of attending a larger show environment. Whilst this may not have been their weekend for the rosettes, being such a new, young combination, we are sure to see much more from them both in the future.

Regional Eventing 70cm plus
Chloe represented us in the above class and got a cracking dressage score of just 29! She went on to pick up a few penalties in the SJ and sadly was eliminated XC.
It was a fantastic weekend and the support and friendship seen made it even better and everyone there truly did our club proud.
